Most likely and i'm not sure what they will do with it. Maybe sell it?

They could, or they might just throw it away. They probably don't really even need it for anything, unless they get a used motor somewhere, and use that housing for it if there isn't any housing with the motor.

I'm sure I've mentioned this to you Jason, but if I had to take a random guess to where the other Allertor housing at the shop was(the whole siren being fully put together), I would think it was at the Springdale Fire Department, unless there was something else there.

About that document on the county's website showing malfunctions from June 2008, I'm not able to identify some of these. It seems that the CD survey some of you got seeing Clayton in August have the # for each siren.

Siren # 96-I know it's at a fire station. Probably a Thunderbolt.
Siren # 18-City of Cincinnati siren. Location?
Siren # 121-No info.
Siren # 7-City of Cincinnati siren. Location?
Siren # 165-No info.

Which siren is #154? It shows up as Riverside Park, but in the actual Riverside Park, there doesn't appear to be a siren. The best I can think of is the SD-10 at Bold Face Playground (corner of River Rd. & Fairbanks Ave).

Yes it's an SD-10 and it is actually at the corner of the intersection of River Rd.(U.S. 50) and Fairbanks not in the park.

I remember the cut sheet of the June 08 malfunctions mentioning some things about Mobilcomm. I came across their website, and it says right on this page on their website that they sell, service, and install Federal Signal products. This must be who installed the 2001s, EOWSs, etc. in this area.

It seems that they sell Whelens as well.

I came across this article a few days ago. It's a different article about Laketa Cole wanting to change the city's sirens from April, but what made me want to show it to all of you is that it says the Thunderbolt that was in Hartwell was taken down for a repair, and put back up elsewhere when fixed, instead of saying it came down due to school rennovations.

I'm all confused, because I was told by the EMA back in April that it came down due to the school having rennovations done, and that it wouldn't be going back up. Nothing was mentioned that it needed a repair.

Weren't there also at least 2 other Thunderbolts that were on top of CPS schools and were taken down this past year?

I also heard that it was taken down due to the original idea for the school being to completely demolish the old building and put up a new one, but plans have since changed.

I'm not sure if any other sirens were removed from CPS schools this year or not. I only know of two that are under construction at the moment (College Hill Elementary and Hughes High School), and neither one of those has a siren.

Well, on the current Bing Maps Bird's Eye images, there appears to be a Thunderbolt on top of this unknown school building on White St. in Fairmount. I know this wasn't listed in a list of the city's sirens from months back. I asked Clayton about it, and I was asked if I found it virtually or actually saw it, making it sound like it's gone. This could be one of the other Thunderbolts that was taken down.

Didn't someone mention earlier in this topic that Sands Montessori was supposed to be having things done to the school? There was a Thunderbolt there, but I'm not sure if that one ever came down.
