Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

Uh oh. The end of that news story mentioned that they are replacing their older sirens with new ones that are solar powered. Sounds like bad news for thunderbolts?

That first one is actually a very healthy sounding Thunderbolt 1000, along with an xT22 and several other Thunderbolts in the background. It does sound at the same pitch as some I-Forces and single tone Alertronics do, but it's rotating, and I can definitely tell what it is when it winds down.

I can see why the sirens are failing. Did you see how they had that ATI? mounted? That can't be good for it at all. And the iForce could be put on a pole.

The video with the ATI hanging from the boom and the iForce on a pallet was stock footage from when some siren companies were demoing their sirens for Hawaii CD.
