SIUE (Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville) sirens...

Sun Mar 07, 2010 8:23 pm

As far as I know, SIUE has a rotating Whelen atop one of the buildings, which sounds in Alert. Scattered across the insides of campus are what appear to be Model A sirens, which sound for tornadoes, I believe.

Now, do you see what I see? Look to the right. It's at the SIUE Refrigeration Plant.

The sniper rifle. For when you want to reach out and touch someone. Like blow their head off.

Yeah I see a Thunderbolt on the right on top of the building.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

I never knew that was there, either. Huh...might have to go up there, if I can. Just not right now, since I'm on spring break and don't live on campus.

That's because the photo is small and it was taken from a good enough distance to make it look small for that sized photo.

For those of us who don't live in Illinois, what is SIUE?
