Nice one! Know what they did with the Banshee?
Good that they replaced with a T-121 and not a 2001....

Wish I knew more about the sirens is medium-sized towns for my maps. I haven't found squat for Ardmore, Enid, McAlester or Muskogee.

I don't know what they did with it, they probably sent it to get refurbished like they did with a few other sirens.
North Enid has a FS2001 and the new T-121 and the City of Enid has Thunderbolt 1000Ts, Thunderbeams, FS2001s, T-128, STL(or STH)-10, Sentry 7v8s and a P-10.

Our county EM said he dosen't like the rotating sirens and said that over several years will likely phase out the rotating sirens with omni-directionals.
There are 24 sirens in the city of Enid now which is up from about 15 when he took over as EM.

Here is a photo of the Banshee taken a few years ago.

Thanks! Enid seems to have a large variety. Now to locate them. :P

I can agree with your EM director. Omnidirectional sirens have way less to go wrong with them, and they provide the full coverage the entire time. But there are some efficient rotational sirens out there.

If he doesn't like directionals, why install new 2001s to fill in gaps? Just an odd thought.

Mustang's goal apparently is to get one siren every mile. With the sirens they have now, that would cover about a third of the city. They have excellent coverage right now.

The 2001s were installed about 5 or 6 years ago. Those replaced broken rotating sirens. There are only 2 FS2001 in the city plus the one in North Enid. And the T-128 is on the south side near Vance AFB.

Is the T-121 louder than the Banshee, by ear?
