Wow! Rarest siren has a rare port ratio and it has a brake on it! Is it one that reverse the current or a mechanical one?

BEST POST ON ARS in a LOOOOOOONGGG TIME

Holy Crap man, saw the pics first on facebook, couldnt beleieve my eyes! The world is gonna end now that the wait is over for the Centralia Hurricane!!!!
The legend of this siren was almost getting to Jimmy Hoffa proportions...

Pretty weird it would be 10/10 ( single tone/ dual rotor) I bet it will sound pretty knarly when you fire that beast up. I agree with Eric, that blower is a huge 'un

Do you plan on restoring it? If so, I can't wait to see it restored.

Cant wait to see it in operation, even if you don't have the power to run the blower!

Very nice score!!! :D

Congratulations! :D
A brake, too? Would love to hear that, provided it works.
Good luck with your acquisition.

Yes, I plan on restoring it. I ran it up eariler and it didn't sound to good. Since then I've air blasted it and it sounds much better. Ill get a recording of it tomorrow. Also, another surprise.

Now, I know it doesnt look like it but this rotator is very different from any other. A normal rotator spins the horn and the chopper/speaker section around. But this one spins around the entire mechanism, horn, rotator box and all, like an Allertronic.

Also, I've always wanted to do this

I'm glad to see this in a collector's hands at last! The next item I'd LOVE to see in a collectors hands is a 550AT.
Still close enough to a Fed Sig 550AT to drive out on test day: First Friday in May - 7PM!
