Anybody from Illinois get caught up in them big storms

Were any sirens sounded. Those were some wicked storms out there.

I know Cincinnati & Dayton OH's sirens were sounded. My brother in Dayton said it thundered a couple of times and it was over. So he was disapointed. A friend of mine who lives next door to my mom in Cincinnati said he lost shingles so it seems the storm was much more powerful down there

This morning at about 4:50, I woke up due to all of the weather commotion outside. Trying to get back to sleep, I ended up hearing the sirens wind up a minute later. I was too tired to do anything, though. Apparently, the rotation was south of Belleville, anyway, heading toward Freeburg.

Sirens went off here in Vanderburgh County IN 5 times in 3 minutes of attack before the storm hit and my friend in the county to our east, Warrick County, set their sirens off at least twice. They went off right as my bus got to school and I got stuck in the locker room full of guys for 2 hours before they released us to class.

That cell woke me up at 5:15. Didn't hear any sirens go off, probably cause it was raining too hard, and we don't have any.

Columbus's sirens went off around 2:00pm. I never heard them and didn't get to see a whole lot of the storm. I got stuck in the high school picking up my brother early for an appointment. I guess someone's mom had called into the school saying that the sirens were going off at Polaris which is just south of the school but the actual rotation was on the south side of Franklin County in Groveport 30+ miles away. Delaware County never actually went under a tornado warning.

Yeah Hamilton County sounded the sirens twice today. They were sounded around 11:50am for a Severe Thunderstorm Warning with Tornado Watch, and I'm pretty sure it was for the same reason around 12:50, because the Severe Thunderstorm Warning expired at 12:45, and I'm assuming they issued another one, unless there was a Tornado Warning I didn't know about.

I had sirens once around 11:45 AM for the severe thunderstorm warning. They must of sectored the coverage since I didn't hear any subsequent soundings. The first warning was for the western half of Hamilton County, another severe thunderstorm warning later for the eastern half and then the tornado warning for the southeastern 1/3. The second warning came out at 12:15 and the tornado warning at 12:40.

I thought they would only be able to do that with all of the new sirens installed, but I guess since they are using a new system to activate the sirens, it sounds like they have the ability now to activate the sirens they want and not alarm the entire county every time.

Louisville, Kentucky's sirens sounded! They sounded multiple times. They are only activated for tornado warnings, so when they sound, you head to shelter. I personally think its stupid to sound sirens for any other reason than TAKE COVER NOW! But they did issue a tornado warning for Louisville, so the sirens sounded beautifully! That t-bolt down the street sounded awesome.
