I also love watching (well, probably more listening) to videos featuring the Diaphone. Just a unique and rather funny mechanism for siren calls. My hometown of Lancaster, WI also has STH-10s, which makes a beautiful sound with the mighty Thunderbolt, practically planted in the center of town.

A year ago I moved about 15 minutes away to a bigger city, Platteville. Never experienced electrical sirens before like the WPS sirens we have (as far as what specific kind, I'm not sure), and it was fun listening to them for a while, but I always miss Lancaster's sirens. Everyone's videos allows me to get up close and personal with each siren I love.

Even videos of Thunderbolts malfunctioning I love to watch, it makes me proud that Lancaster takes care of such an old siren.

I was never in Burnsville, just chatting with my sister about the sirens :-).

Platteville did their monthly testing today; if the city had a variety of sirens I definitely would have recorded it.
