Protocol for Boone County, KY to change for siren activation

Per local meteorologist Rich Apuzzo just posted on FB that Boone County, KY will soon only activate sirens for tornado warnings, rather than watch during a simultaneous severe storm warning.

That seems to be a trend in warning protocol. I suppose it's due to complaints of "crying wolf" from residents.
chicks like sirens, too.

I read on WLWT.com that this is also applying to Kenton and Campbell Counties.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(
