Identify This Siren Located In Mundesley, Norfolk, UK

Well, I've found out who owns this siren...

It's owned by the Mundesley Lifeboat people who used it as a call-out siren untill recently (hence the antenna mounted on the pole).

I've enquired about it's future and apparently it's staying in situ and not awaiting the scrapper.

Still none the wiser about it's identity...

They should really consider keeping all their sirens, though. Still great knowing that some will stay.

I've seen A siren like this before in an Antique shop. I think it's an Early Carter Siren.

Nah- it can't be a Carter- the motor's way too small!
(Remember- the "Carter" siren, being of WW2 vintage, has a large motor capable of 4hp, where as the later Brooks-Compton motor used on the Castle sirens is smaller and equally as powerful)

As for Norfolk keeping their sirens...
Unfortunately the take-down has begun in the Great Yarmouth area of the County...

I now have 2 Castle Castings sirens in my posession- one, which will be cosmetically restored right away (which is going well so far!) and the other will stay as it is for the immediate future...
