A while back I built a test model of the Alertronic 5000 to see how it fared for balance. It was hard work making it to scale.
ACA would have benefit from a model makers' department to test out their more ungainly designs before they went into full-scale production.
The primary problem is the horns are very back-heavy. It sags backward and there is no way to solve this besides redoing the entire design. It would never hold up against wind or excessive precipitation.

So there's a miniature Alertronic 5000 we can count. Just as ill-designed and operable as its real-scale counterpart.

Which is probably why, if any were bought, all of them are gone now.

The Alertronic in Rhinelander was kept in storage upon removal until it was scrapped in 2011. As interesting as many of ACA's sirens were, some of them just didn't last very long in service. Sometimes I wonder how many oddball sirens we missed out on because they were removed before the community noticed them.

If the same could be said for sirens as it has been with traffic lights and railroad crossing signals, probably plenty. Some of the examples of some of the earliest traffic lights and crossing signal equipment have usually turned up broken or incomplete, while lots of others have yet to be found at all, if any of them still survive.
