I guess one bad apple spoiled the whole barrel. If the Siren is going to be crushed, they better recycle the material so it can be used again. At least the guts will be salvaged. Also, when did this siren get installed?

In some places, setting one off without alarm is considered an act of terror.

And as far as I'm concerned the people that would consider it an act of terror are nuts.

Yes' in brea it is illegal to sound ANY mechanical siren, they say it sounds to close to a Q-siren.

? 8.38.140 PROHIBITED ALARM SYSTEMS.

A. Audible alarm systems similar to sirens. It is unlawful to install or maintain on the exterior or interior of any building, an alarm system which upon actuation emits a sound which is similar to sirens in use on emergency vehicles or used for civil defense purposes.

(Ord. 1068, passed 5-18-04)

Guess i'll have to set off all my sirens indoors then.

Is there anything in that ordinance which talks about the destruction of equipment? I think it is quite ridiculous that they would do that!

This is the closest Thunderbolt to my house, and I can't believe they would do such a thing! This really saddens me, as one more Thunderbolt awaits the day of its death. When this day comes, are they going to kill off the remaining Thunderbolts of Franklin County?

I think there may only be 1 or 2 replaced. We have 11 left as of right now.
