yes and I can not wait! Got it off of ebay cheap!
It needs restoreing but if it works i think i'll install it on my Jeep and worry about restoration later!
I would, of coarse, prefer a Q. But with the 77 haveing the same motor maybe i can purchase a stator and rotor and make myself one out of the model 77 motor.
Asap, i'll post my new siren.

So you're the jerk who out bid me?
Just kidding. I'm envious.
How can you purchase a Q stator and rotor?
What kind of idiot would put a Q on a Jeep?
Sounds like something I'd do.
The Q's motor would be bigger than the Jeep's starter motor.
Plus, where would you physically mount it?
You had better send it to me.
But it wouldn't fit on our Expedition either.
Actually where would you mount any siren on a Jeep?
First, I mounted two TS100s on the Cherokee bumper and had to cut two round holes into the plastic grill for the magnets. The magnets were against the radiator.
Wish I had the shallower neodynium magnets rather than Federal"s heavy fat magnets.
Later, I mounted them below the bumper and placed two Cool Blue headlights I had in the holes. They make great auxillary lights and wigwag with the headlights. So I needed the siren even less.
Please tell about your locomotive experience.
Thanks.
Hit and run and ends family:
Friday evening, drunk driver Lawrence Trujillo went through a red signal in downtown Denver and ran down a family in a crosswalk with walk light. He didn't even try to stop.
Two children, one in a stroller, were killed. Mother died a few hours later. Poor father survived.
Losing my entire family I think I would rather have died.
Trujillo and his passenger were caught at home. I hope he is executed.
(But I know that will not happen.)
Whenever I cross a street, I look for errant vehicles.
I try to always walk against traffic to hopefully evade an errant vehicle.
My greatest concern is when wife and I ride our tandem bicycle WITH traffic.

8) Oh man. I got that badboy siren i won!
Love it!
The thing coasts for hours!
I installed in on my jeep, I'll post a video soon! I had to use 4 gauge wire and a starter solenoid to power it! I installed a 175 amp fuse! Nice sound although i have yet to blast it full. I just growl it. Man it coasts! I got scared of false activation so i wired a switch to switch a ground wire to a relay under the dash. The relay gets its power from an ignition sorce so no idiot can open my door and flip it on without my knoledge! The relay, once the ignition is switched on, then powers the heavy solenoid and wow what a blast from that siren!
And, it's actually a model 78. I thought it to be a 77.
I heard of that accident. Those people will be put in prison, lifes ruined, and guilt ridden for many years. I feel so bad for the father.

I like the tone of the 77 however personally ide like to get my hands on a C4 or C5 A or B siren. These are the Pre Q2b coaster sirens 8 port i believe. They have a nice powerful low tone that i cant get enough of.

I have a C4B but it isn't a low tone siren. It will break glass. It has the brake because it is a coaster siren. It seems to have a muffled sound with the grill on though. Kind of like being in a barrel or when we would put a 28 under the hood of a station wagon behind the radiator.

Is U-taker a siren pimp or something?
Do these "coaster" sirens actually have a clutch?
Or is the motor directly coupled and simply spins down?
Thank you,
