I agree with you, but the 40v2t still sounds pretty scary from a distance and it's got a deep enough tone. It screams, but roars at the same time. I posted a link in my original post of one running a mile away from the camera. If it is ran under full speed it sounds exactly like a Cyclone. It even has the same loudness. When it reaches full speed it's much louder though.
What is this I don't even...
Low tones carry further, longer mechanical waves penetrate buildings better, black and white!

Yeah, but I assure you the 40v2t can be heard for a further distance. I've had the "fortune" of standing pretty close to both the Cyclone and the 40v2t when they were going off (both on vacations!) by complete chance and I can assure you they were both extremely loud but the 40v2t almost seemed twice as loud, at least through my hands covering my ears!

Mine is the ASC T-128. It's just so sleek and cool sounding.

My favorite current mechanical siren is the T-128 because of its round full sound. Also it's low tone carries very well. I feel that it is a durable and powerful siren that is a great replacement for older sirens.
My favorite current electronic siren is the Whelen WPS-2900 series because they look so ominous on the poles (especially the 2910)) and they also have a great low tone. I feel that they are the clearest sounding of the electronics. I only wish that the whoop tone was more like that of the 3016 and 2700 series.

I'm a big fan of any Sentry sirens, probably the 40v2t I like the most. As for electronic sirens, I'm not too fond of those, but I like low-toned Whelens.
