Sorry for bumping my own topic, but I'm confused on something.

The housing ID tag says it's a 1958 Model 7, but the motor ID tag says it's a 1964 "C 3 1/2" (I'm assuming 5T?) Can anyone figure this out? I'm sure it was never a 7. I think it was probably an error from Federal.

I honestly think Federal just put ID tags on a lot of their housings after they made them, and just grabbed one at random to put over a siren once they got an order in for them. Seems like more times than not, I see lots of mix-matched ID plates on Model 5s and 5Ts between the siren and its housing. It may also be likely that the original housing was replaced at some point with either a new one or one they got from somewhere else.

Those seem reasonable. I do not recall there being any 7s in the county this siren came from.

Sorry for bumping yet again, but I'm putting the finishing touches on the 5T housing and waxing it. If anyone cares about the wax brand, I'm using Turtle "ICE" liquid wax.

Sorry for yet another bump, but the waxing is done. I just loosely slapped it together for a quick photo. Yes, you can see my Thunderbolt in the background (If anyone cares).

I'm keeping it white for the time being. I have preserved the original yellow on the underside of the louvers and in the housing.

Don't plan on doing it unless you loan me a Step-Up transformer. And, it's not exactly White and yellow. It's white, but I preserved the Yellow under the louvers and inside the housing

In other words, I pretty much finished the restoration after moving it onto a wood pallet and finishing some touch up work.
