New (to me) Model 5T

Sat Aug 17, 2013 10:12 pm

This is my new 1964 Federal Sign & Signal Model 5AT. It was originally in service in Woodruff, SC (Spartanburg County). I got it off of a fellow board member in trade of some Tbolt stuff that he wanted. The siren runs fine. I plan on restoring the housing eventually...

Here are some pictures:

Nice score! It's cool that you also got the housing.

Neat siren you got there. What color of paint do you plan on using on the housing?

Did you run it up to full power yet? Or did you just brought it home?

It runs. Here's the video. I spun it up with a stick about 40 or so times...

Well, now you basically have an omni-directional version of my P-10. What phase is it?

The former owner traded it to me for some Tbolt parts he wanted to he could build his own, and, I have to help him find a single phase siren.
