Its like the worst streetview ever.
I wouldn't expect anything less from google maps...
Also, the shadow clearly shows the horn and the cylinder structure.

They don't appear to even have a siren at that spot. If that were a siren, you would likely see a pole or a shadow.

If you can't see a shadow or shape in GSV, it's likely not there. Like I said, look at the aerial view of the Oakland Acres siren. They look nothing alike.

Yeah now that I look at it more I see that there isn't a pole.
What could it be then?

Probably that big cylinder thing on the power line.

Yeah those things always look like sirens on Satellite. One time I thought I saw a siren on satellite in Delta, PA and I went to investigate but it was actually one of those giant capacitor thingies. There was a T-128 for the Peach Bottom system there tho. The cylinder thingy looked like a STH-10NH on satellite.

Sorry to go off topic but those "cylinders" are just high to low voltage transformers

Ok. I didn't know exactly what they were, but I thought they were something like that.

let's think of it as a nickname. It's been deemed a misnomer, but it's not that big of a deal
it kinda is, actually.
why? enlighten me. People have called it the N-5 for many years now. I'll bet if you asked someone, "Hey, every seen a Sterling M-3?" They wouldn't know what it was.
Here's where the M-3 nomenclature comes from. The single-head models were 3 HP, while the dual heads were 5HP.
