Hate to be a thorn in the rear end, but where is the story? I am dying to know.

I don't think we are going to get the story anytime soon.
I had a bad feeling deep down that would happen. Oh well...

In that case the person who wrote about them in this aritcle(I only edited other parts of the site) could stand some straightening out.

Looks like that dual-tone H.O.R. in Hamilton is going bye-bye. More 2001's. This news report says it all:

2001-130s... penetrate better my a**, though I can't say that the HOR compares to it in terms of output. That 7/10 port ratio would catch people's attention better than the scream of the 2001s. Old sirens can be overhauled and upgraded to comply with the new tech for way cheaper, with the exception of battery power, but I guess that some cities never get it. Oh well. I hope that they sell it off to someone who can restore it instead of scraping it. I thought the whole two way communications thing could work with any mech. siren on the appropriate controller.

It looks like federal signal won the contract over ASC.
Hopefully someone can get this siren when it comes down.

That is a bummer. The HOR does not seem to have moved since I tried to record it last year.

Somebody should look in to obtaining the HOR
