Okay, now its probably the Chicago System. They f*cked up the entire system, even the MODULATORS were failing.

Yowzas. That things rotator doesn't look like it'll be fixed anytime soon even that clipping sounds horrible. Looks to be a 1981 Gen 1 WS-3000 on a pre-864. Heck it even sounds amazing on fast wail. Does the other sirens in Idaho falls work? (sorry for derailing btw)

I think Idaho Falls did away with their system because as of now a lot of the sirens are removed. I think the 3000 still exists and the clipping was fixed

Sorry for the late response, but yes. I spoke with the new director for the OEM in Bonneville County/Idaho Falls, and he told me the system was being decomissioned. The 3016's clipping issues did get fixed, but the rotator problem was never resolved. Some of the other sirens in the system did work (notably the others you can hear in the background of the video), but the 2000 series at EITC/CEI was also broken last I'd heard.

One of my first siren tests in my old hometown of Owosso MI. Thing struggles its way through just a few cycles of attack and shuts off somewhat early. Kinda sucked but I loved having my first test just a month prior being perfect
