Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

It's not a Castle Castings. There was a company based out of Stroudsburg, PA that made a siren, which is described to be almost exactly like the one currently in town. Even the frequencies line right up. Please stop spreading misinformation

This was posted here in the early, early days of this thread and no one ever figured it out (not to my knowledge, anyways).
Very unlikely, but that could be an Australian Model 888 (I think). Or could be one of those Super-Banshees that were modified?
It's not an 888, I just did a whole information post on the company that made them, (Grifco) with pictures included. it does not look like an 888 at all, or anything Grifco made.

I have absolutely no idea what this contraption is.

That appears to be a diaphone/diaphragm horn unit. Those horns sticking out are air horns of that type.
Also welcome!

That seems to be a set of 2 (not very well placed) Gamewell Diaphone Type C horns. That white thing in the middle is where the air tanks are most likely housed. Welcome to the board.

Thanks! It really is quite the setup they have there.

I'm stumped. Some dual-head thing. It might be a Sterling, but I doubt it.
Could possibly a 2nd gen. Federal Electric Type B or a W.S. Darley Champion.
It's a Castle Castings, as confirmed here: https://www.airraidsirens.net/forums/vi ... rg#p182802
There are no confirmed 10/12 Champions or Bs, so....
Are you sure it's a Castle Castings? It is 10/12, but it could probably be a Champion, if anyone has an example...
It's just.. well, it's really unlikely.

It is actually a CLM Mailbox.
