Funny news story...This thing went off in Hi-Lo for no reason multiple times early this past Thursday morning.

Sorry about that...I assumed it was in Texas, since Arlington, TX also has Whelens.

since Arlington, TX also has Whelens
I think Arlington tx has 2001s.

There is one siren in Franklin County that uses the hi-lo tone. It's in the Obetz area used for chemical emergencies at the Georgia-Pacific plant.

Word on the street is they aren't crazy about the Whelens they have either because of the cost to maintain them. We'll see if they ever decide to switch to something else.

Are Whelens like to destroy themselves.... alot, when sounded.
We are spending a ton of money replacing burnt out sirens.
