Reading, Ohio T-Bolt

Thu Jan 04, 2007 12:38 am

I just recorded this today, and I tried to get a close as I could without distortion. I used hearing protection, and I was definitely within 100 feet; maybe 70ish? I had it set far back to get a bigger picture, so it doesnt look as close as I actually was. If you listen, you can hear the sound bounce off the houses, as well as another siren in the distance (possibly the Lockland T-bolt). I could definitely hear the blower firing up!

This must be the T-bolt with the five-to-four port-ratio! Great video; I really liked it!

Some sirens with rotating heads stop at every wind-down so that the areas in effect of hearing the wind-down hear it fully, making the signal much more reliable.

The blower hold relay is set low. And, yes, it is a 5/4 ratio.

Lewisville's (TX) Thunderbolts' rotators were wired like that. They stoped. I think this could be because the rotator was wired with the chopper motor at the motor control. RCM (?)

Great video! You earned five stars. I didn't know that Thunderbolts came in 5/4. Perhaps someone slipped a 2T rotor in there?

Castlevania2006: "Dat" refers to digital audio tape. "That" is an English pronoun used to refer to another noun, such as "that siren's wind-down" or "that English class I took in high school." Which one were you referring to?
