Federal Model 2 Restoration

This is the restoration of my Federal Sign and Signal Model 2 air raid siren. I bought it for $100. I don't know what year it is. If anyone has any questions about the restoration just ask, I'll try to answer them the best I can. I'll eventually post videos of it running..
This is how it originally looked...

I wire wheeled the housing. I'm on budget so sandblasting wasn't really an option.

I primed and painted the housing. I used Rustoleum Sunburst yellow. It matches my Civil Defense survey meters very well. I also got (2) 3" Civil Defense decals for it that are on each side. I wish I was able to clean up the ID plate but I don't wanna ruin it.

I took apart the siren. It came apart fairly easily. I had to use an impact gun on the legs. I cleaned it up, primed and painted all the parts. I used gloss smoke gray and gloss black. The bearings were in good shape so I just repacked them.

Put the legs back together..

This is what it looks like now.. I used all new hardware

The siren with the intake cone. I still have to weld up the holes and paint it. I'll post pictures when I'm done with it.

Here's the siren next to the housing.
