leaving work today, I noticed it was up. 4-cell Modulator (sorry for the portrait orientation):

No clue.Nice. It's a Mod II, I think 4016B is the model. Did the old Whelen have a UV installed?
The MOD II looks white to me.rdfox wrote:...is it just the lighting, or is that Mod actually in CD yellow?
As far as I'm aware, no. The new system was most if not all 2001-130s. No retrofitting.DJ2226 wrote:Did the old Whelen have a UV installed?
That had been established in the second and fifth posts, just not the exact model within the line.EOWS1212man wrote:It IS a Mod II.
From what I'm reading here: http://www.cityofdearborn.org/news-and- ... on-the-way, it was just a way to enhance the safety of the public. The only electronic sirens that were replaced were the old system of 27x0s, then came the new system of 2001-130s. This is an addition to the system along with several others.Brendan Ahern wrote:What was the reason for the Whelen replacement? So then is this the only electronic siren left since they replaced most with 2001's?
