4/7/14 Lahar Siren Ambience

Fri Apr 11, 2014 8:32 am

Not really exciting, but here's a siren ambience that I caught on April 7th from my house in Milton. The nearest siren is a Modulator 6048, three miles away in Fife, you may also be able to hear a 2001 SRN*B from Fife too. Please turn your volume up and wear headphones if possible for the best results.

Yep, quite a unique use of sirens, these were installed to warn of a massive volcanic mudflow from Mount Rainier, over 200,000 people would be directly impacted from a 30-50 foot wall of boiling pyroclasts.
