Spartanburg County, SC Small Siren Graveyard

Fri Apr 18, 2014 7:48 pm

Wow, I was such a lucky person to find this siren graveyard after I photographed a Thunderbeam/RSH-10 in downtown Chesnee, SC on top of City Hall. This siren graveyard is located at a electric company next to city hall near downtown Chesnee, SC. I got permission from the electric company to let me visit this siren graveyard.
Anyway, here are the photos:

^Notice at the left of the photo there's a Thunderbeam/RSH-10 mounted on top of the building. That's the Thunderbeam/RSH-10 located on top of City Hall.

Sorry for a photo overload. About the single tone siren. Is it a modified Model 5? It looks like it is. But it also looks like a modified Model 3. I think the county is gonna sell these sirens to the Chesnee, SC auctions.
I will tell the story how I found this, here is the story: When after I photographed the Thunderbeam/RSH-10 in downtown Chesnee, SC. I noticed there's a big junk yard near the city hall. I decided to ride threw here because I think it might have sirens. Until I spotted this graveyard! I said "HOLY CRAP!" when I was seeing it!

Wow, what a nice find! You should try to snag something from it if you can.

Quick Update

Sorry for a bump. I want everyone to know about this. I was told today by someone that the county is using these sirens for parts.

Someone also told me that the county is selling a Model 2 for $500 (not located at the siren graveyard, no idea where it is located now).
