Federal 550 found in Yonkers, NY

Fri May 16, 2014 7:28 pm

I found this while working on my NYC fallout shelter map.

I think the siren has since been removed. If you go up glenhill past Ramsey, it shows a tower in it's place. It could have been built around the siren, or the siren was removed and it was built. I thought it was an interesting find though.
Ripe old age of 26. I'm quite fond of alcohol and telephone relays.

Nice find!
Still close enough to a Fed Sig 550AT to drive out on test day: First Friday in May - 7PM!

That tower that 550 is on is pretty cool looking. Good find.
