Small Morgan County Siren Hunt 8-30-14

Sun Aug 31, 2014 4:54 am

Went out to Decatur today to siren hunt and photograph some railroad crossings there. Sadly, the weather put an early end to those plans, but I was able to get some pictures of sirens though.

The first siren I stopped at was the Fedelcode Model 5 in Priceville, AL. Sadly, this siren is out of service from what I've heard. I've also heard varying reports on if it's still functional.

I also got photos of the Whelen 2809 at the Priceville Public Library since it wasn't too far away.

The last siren I visited was the Whelen 2809 at Carrier Mathews Recreation Center in Decatur, AL. This siren is a bit odd because, as far as I know, this is a non-Browns Ferry siren within the 10-mile radius around Browns Ferry. There's another Whelen in Decatur that's closer to the plant as well.

That's all from today! I hope you enjoyed it!
