Illinois Tornado Siren Hunt

Sun Aug 31, 2014 7:58 pm

I found a Thunderbolt 1003A (3 phase) in Tinley Park, as well as other sirens along the way.

Why didn't you just post them in the original topic?

I was wondering the same... Posts have been merged into original topic.

Why does it matter?

Because there is no point in having two topics about the same thing. Double posting is fine for things like this, or you could've edited your original post (unless you had the maximum number of file attachments)

On an on topic note, if that's the 1003 I'm thinking of, then it used to run in fire signal for escaped patients at the mental hospital there, and has a low chopper level (3 I think).
Edit: I was wrong about chopper 3:

Because it clutters the forum and makes it more difficult for users to search.

Say you live in an apartment, and you buy some new plants. You wouldn't buy a new apartment just to house your NEW plants, would you?

Also, here's a helpful hint. When a moderator takes an action, it's best to just go with it instead of responding with a smart aleck comment.

That mental hospital has been condemned.

Yes, so they stopped using the fire signal. It is also one of the only Thunderbolts in that system to run a normal attack cycle, a lot of the others have problems with all motors shutting off instead of just the chopper motor.

Have they removed the solenoids?
