San Francisco's sirens went off, no Emergency

Forgive the 2001 graphic, they use ATI there:

Well, I guess an ATI activating unnecessarily is better than the usual ATI failing to activate when requested.

My guess is someone hit the wrong button when trying to do a silent test.

And here is what happens when you replace STL-10s, thunderbolts, model 5s and STH-10s with these pieces of crap. (I am sorry if I offended any ATI fans.)
Own and love a Thunderbolt 1000 and a Model 5.

They were also probably having problems like these with the old system. They were installed in the 50's so they were due for being replaced. And with a system that large, there was probably quite a few issues.

Yea. Probably. But there again they didn't HAVE to go ATI. In fact I think FS did a discount for upgrading a system of their sirens. But I don't know I wasn't there nor am I an expert.

You can't blame activation issues on the brand like that. Accidental activation and failing to receive them can happen with any siren of any age, regardless of brand. The 2001-130 part of Russell County, AL's system failed activation once and vice versa with their Whelen system. I dislike ATI as much as the next person, but anything is better than nothing.

Yea provided the dang thing goes off (Bandon OR has ATIs and they sometimes wont activate either...) But it doesn't matter... The point is these ones failed (As they were doing with the old drivers) and I am guessing none of us here are at all in the least bit surprised...

They *were* having failures with the old systems, no detail on if it was the controllers or actual sirens.

Federal did submit a bid there for Modulators, but, ATI won.
