My NEW Model 2!!

Fri Dec 05, 2014 1:21 am

Hey members. I want to let you know that I bought a Fedelcode Model 2 last week for $175.00. Turns out eBay got the shipping calculation wrong (eBay said $26.00). The actually shipping by UPS was $95.00. It did not came with the housing because the old housing was rotted and no longer good.

Anyway, here's the pics:

The previous owner told me this siren was originally in service in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania at Eastvale fire department. The previous owner said it works well when he replaced the brushes (and probably fixed up the actually siren). The previous owner said it was abandoned at its originally location for over 35 years. I will be testing my Model 2 soon. I believe this siren was made in 1929. Can anyone conform when it was made? Thanks!

Definitely the same siren. The two in the video looks like the one in the orginal post, even down to the gray stuff on the edges of the ID tag.
Ripe old age of 26. I'm quite fond of alcohol and telephone relays.

Now that is a siren to add to the collection! Let's hope you have 240 to run it off so you are not in the same boat I am in with my Model J.

I have a 240V outlet. My siren will be tested on 240V soon. And why can't you ask your parents to install a 240V circuit to your house?

You would be seriously suprised at how much 50 ft of 10/3 wire is.
