Thunderbolt siren Rotator Belt??

Would anyone know what size and type of belt a Thunderbolt rotator would use and what side the belt is located on?

It uses a 4L320.

IIRC the belt is on the short side of the rotator box. Should be the side opposite to where the power enters.

Ok. Thanks. I'm going to replace one in a Thunderbolt in Marionville, mo for the fire dept. it's been broken for the past 6 years or so... Thanks for the info.

It's been broken for six years? I seen it on my trip that I took a few months ago, it looked pretty darn good, and it was on one of the tallest poles I have seen a thunderbolt on, maybe 55-60 ft.

The one by the Dairy Queen? Not the one by the Police station right? It's a little bit shorter mounted.

If it's broken for that long grab the horn and see if you can get it to turn by hand. They like to rust in place if left to sit for a long time.

BTW check the heaters at your motor starter first, see if you have any power going up the pole. Could be a blown start cap on the rotator motor also.

Will do. If the starter capacitor is what's wrong, then would I need to completely replace the motor?

No just the capacitor.

Depends, first you need to know if you actually have power going up to the rotator motor. If it's bad it's easier to change with the motor out.

BTW grease the siren head while you are up there.
