How did the Federal Fire Siren get the name "Lion"...

...when the phrase "Roars like a lion" appears in a Sterling ad? Did someone mix up the ads?

The siren was never called the "Lion". That was what we all used to know it as because of the ad but it was only simply the "Federal Fire Siren".

I was aware that it was never actually called the Lion, but thanks anyway. Do you know where I could find a scan of this ad? A Google search turns up the 1924 "Hold 'er newt" ad and this Sterling ad.

Aha, you were right. This solidifies that the Type B was never officially referred to as a Lion. I'm sorry about mixing up the slogans, here's the Federal ad. (On wiifire8's photobucket.)
