508 vs T128 Question

Fri May 08, 2015 1:20 pm

Iv'e noticed that the 508 and T128 have the exact same rotor/stator design as one another. I was wondering why this might be, considering the last time ACA/ASC sirens and Federals used a similar chopper design was with the Mobil Directo. Is it possible that they both outsource there castings to another company and purchase the same design? Or did Federal copy ASC's design? Just wondering
Down to a Thunderbolt chopper, still a few goofy flashlight-siren combos, and a Model L.

Yeah, they both get the same casting from the same place. I believe the actual design is the only thing that they patent.

Hmm, interesting. I wonder were exactly they get there castings from. Could it be overseas?
