Is this siren in Mayville an OM-117?

Thu Sep 24, 2015 4:02 pm

I was looking through satelite view in google maps in Dodge County to look for sirens and I found this grey Banshee. Is this actually an OM-117? I would like to know since OM-117/120's are not very common. It's over by the Mayville Inn. I can't get on the other street in streetview so.

Looks like an ASC box, so yeah probably.
Down to a Thunderbolt chopper, still a few goofy flashlight-siren combos, and a Model L.

Yes that is an OM-117/Banshee. The 120 is similar looking, but is pretty easy to tell apart from it's older sibling.
He died.

Yeah I can tell. Brookfield has six OM-120's. The smaller "hats" are the OM-120's and the larger hats are for the OM-117's. Thats how I can tell the difference.

Yeah the top parts is how I can tell. Also I've filmed that OM-120 before.

Speaking of OM-117's, are there any 9/12 port versions out in the wild? The only one that I know of is in Rome City, Indiana. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Rome+ ... 48!6m1!1e1
In my opinion, I think there way too many 2001's in Indiana!

The 9/12 isn't an OM-117. The output is only 114-115db since it's dual tone. Just like how the RM-127 was a single tone only siren.

Why are OM-117/120's so rare? We're they not advertised that well? I only heard about the OM-120 a few weeks back :\

Theyre not "so" rare but OM-117s are harder to find than Banshee/
