Mon Sep 28, 2015 5:30 pm

Hi Guys

What do you think? I have finally finished my Tbolt 1000 and it is now in my backyard, fully functional. It took me two years to get it done but Iam pretty please with it. All new paint and all new hardware (stainless). New brushes and bearings too. let me know what you guys think =-) next up is either my model 2T or my 2t22a.

Man that thing looks great! I'd really love to do this with mine in the future. What all did you have to do to mount it like that if you mind me asking?

Hi Brendan

I attached the siren head onto the standpipe while it was on the ground first and not vertical. After I bolted it to the standpipe, I used a Warn winch to pull it up vertical (I attached my winch to one of the trees on the opposite side as my anchor) Hope this helps and good luck with your install bud, its worth all the hard work......my wife now wants to put flowers around it, I said no way.

That is a great install! Are you going to get video of her sounding off?

I noticed the official "straight-from-the-installation-instructions-in-the-thunderbolt-manual" standpipe brackets. Very cool.

my wife now wants to put flowers around it, I said no way.
She's ok with you putting a Thunderbolt up in the backyard and you say "no way" to flowers around it?
I have to admit you lost me there....
