Central Michigan Sirens

Fri Jan 15, 2016 12:15 am

Since I live in Central Michigan, I have begun compiling the locations of sirens in my area and have started a map. Any help would be greatly appreciated in locating sirens.

Mount Pleasant and Clare have Whelen sirens and am unsure as to what sirens they are, either 4004s or Vortexes.

Mount Pleasant has both 4004's and Vortex sirens (and 3 Hornets) it has been determined. Look for the circular/rectangular rotator protrusion, and whether or not they have the type I or type II control cabinets. Isabella county has a "map" of their siren locations, although it is very crude and hard to use. Can you add contributors to maps? I could help add some sirens to the Mt. P area if that's a possibility.
