Federal Signal STH-10(A) Siren Test - Oostburg WI

Wed Jun 15, 2016 7:05 pm

Today I went to Oostburg, WI for the Bi-weekly siren test at 11:00 am. Initially I was planning on going to Waldo WI to record their ACA Screamer and to stop by Cascade after to see what their 2nd supposed siren is, but unfortunately my grandma stopped over and I could not get in to the shower until later. with 20 minutes to get some where to record I quick hopped on 43 and headed towards Oostburg and hoped for the best. I got to my recording location at 11:57 quickly set up and hit record. Before you guys give me a (Tip from the pros) about waiting for the siren to fully wind down and for the chopper to come to a complete stop I do not want to hear it the LCD screen on the Everio is not that great so I can not tell when the chopper has stopped so the only way I can tell is to listen and hope for the best. I am also not willing to hang out there wasting my battery for 10 min recording after so that I can watch a siren chopper stop spinning. I'm not trying to be rude , but I just has other priorities then waiting a hunk of metal stop spinning. Anyway thanks for watching.

I recorded an STH-10 today and had the same problem with the wind down. xD

Don't let anybody tell you how to record a siren video. Yeah, it would be nice to have a stable, non shaky somewhat good view of the siren you are recording - but it is YOUR video after all and if people don't like it they don't need to watch it. Regardless, great video Tom!

Some guy keeps commenting on my videos on YouTube. I just post my YouTube description on here so that part has nothing to do with anybody on here I just forgot to remove that part of the description for here.
