How I Crated My 2T22

Sat Jun 17, 2006 6:39 am

If anyone ever has to ship a 2T22 here's how I did it.
I got a 7 foot skid from work and laid the thing on it's
side with the horns packed in boxes. I strapped it around
the stators with 3 or 4 layers of cardboard wrapped around.
It would fit on a 6 foot skid but I didn't feel like cutting the
skid shorter.
The pole mount bracket is screwed to the skid next to the siren.

Dad, what does that CD mean on that big yellow horn? Well son, I believe it stands for Cyclone Device......

Looks very professional.Almost like somthing any major distributor would do when shipping a fairly heavy item like the xt22. The extra wood plank plus the blocks & banding will keep it from rolling around & destroying the pallet.I guess you already knew that huh? When I received my xt's, the pallet the sirens were strapped to were destroyed during shipment & the sirens were kinda flopping around. the controls faired a little better though........

Eric, the X can stand for 2 or 3 -T22. Its just used when you dont for sure know what exact model it is.

Hope this cleared it up

Excuse me Eric, 2t22 is that what you want me to say? 2t22's . Plural. I always thought that the "xt" was kind of a neat denomination of the marque, but excuse me for not expressing that in the above thread.2t-3t who cares? one has extra signal capabilities & one does'nt. One thing I'm sure about is that they are the same size, about the same weight,& same shape,Round.Soooo, since I'm getting ball busted at this time, I will from now on use the correct terms in making any reference regarding the 2t22-3t22 ......... Oh one more question for you Eric, If I somehow found a set of upper & lower intakes with dampers for my" 2t22"? would that automatically make it a "3t22"? because it left the facttory as a "2t22" I guess it would be a 3t22 clone then because it's not a true 2t22 anymore. But it's not a true 3t22 either because it left the factory as a "2t22" making it a hybrid. I guess being a hybrid ,It would have to be called a "xt22" because it's a conglomeration of missmatched parts.or maybe they're matched because everything bolts together the same way.Don't anyone else bother trying to explain any of what I just said above cause I'm trying to make a point. Do we have to be super politically correct on everything we say & do on this board?!!! Jeez

You can perfectly see it's a 2t22 though. Note the lack of damper control boxes and no butterfly valve in the bottom intake. Anyway, Eric, nice packaging job. Does the heavy side indicate the side the forklift should pick it up from?
