Something just doesn't seem right about that video. I can't quite put my finger on it, aside from the fact that the tone is all wrong for a new Whelen (unless it is a custom made tone...if Whelen is migrating to that, its a massive step backwards).

Nope....that's what they sound like...a little higher pitched than the older tone chips...

While the tone sounded like a Thunderbolt 1000, there was no wind down, which was very unusual.

In the big picture of it all, the WPS 2900 series has been a forward step for Whelen, because the WPS 2900 series solves the problem of drivers blowing, as was the case in the WPS 2800 series.

The video was great, nonetheless.

This must be new from Whelen because they recently lowered the tone of their sirens, see the OKC siren videos. The original WPS 2900 series was deeper in tone than the WPS 2800 series. Does anyone know if it is just the WPS 2900 or do all the Whelen sirens have the 560 hz tone now?
