Possibly could be a prototype unit because I heard the siren having a chopper and rotator hiccup towards the end.Ohio_Man wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 10:32 pmArgos Indiana had Sentry defenders until a tornado took them out. They had a short production span due to reliability issues and sentry preferring Omni Directionals. Undocumented Defenders may exist, but outside of Argos the only other place that would (likely) have a defender is Sentry themselves. Since its on a forklift It may be a demo unit.
Seems to be before shipment to somewhere.Sifed1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 12:09 amThis one in particular appears to be a demo (or pre-shipped unit being tested before install) since it is mounted on a forklift. The location of the video appears to be at the former Sentry Siren headquarters/factory located at 2812 N 9th St, Canon City, CO 81212. They've actually moved to a new facility in Penrose, CO since then. There were very few of these sirens produced and only a handful (maybe/maybe not) of locations of active ones may be known. The only one I was personally aware of is the one that (was/is) in Argos, Indiana.
Is it still in service?
I doubt it. This was over 10 years ago, and I'm not sure a siren with many reliability issues would last that long.
I have a few.
