My Thunderbolt 1000

Sun Dec 13, 2020 7:54 pm

I know everything here knows that I have a Thunderbolt 1000B that is active as an emergency warning siren for my area and Spartanburg County, SC. I am doing upgrades to the Thunderbolt controls. It's almost done. Once it's done, Thunderbolt will be fully WiFi controlled or app controlled. Here are the pics:

It's still too cool that used to be my old thunderbolt. I'm glad that it got another lease on life instead of sitting in my yard.

Its always nice to see older equipment get an upgrade. Did the blower box always tip foreward or is that a mod?

That's normal for C series blowers.

Nice! Here's how I made my siren remotely activated I have a Zello setup with my Model D with an Arduino DTMF decoder controlling my Homemade PGA Timer. I made a Visual Studio program where It has a siren control tab in the program to control it and it also does automatic noon (1 pm) blast where the program sends out the noon whistle DTMF when it hits Saturday at 1 pm and it does this weekly. This setup can be seen on my YouTube channel doing that. Anyway back to the topic at hand nice setup TrainsAndSirens1 it will really help a lot to have remote activation!
