P-10's with ACA alertor shroudes?

Fri Dec 10, 2021 8:43 pm

Someone on Roblox was saying that his town has a P-10 with an ACA alertor shroud. They said the P-10 shroud got damaged in a storm and they replaced the shroud with an alertor shroud. Is this possible, and if it is has anyone ever done it.

Yes it is possible. The Allertor actually became the P-10/15 in the 80's because it was easier and cheaper to manufacture the Penetrator shroud. I believe Werden Electric swapped an Allertor shroud for a Penetrator shroud before.

So basically the Penetrator was the alertor just it was cheaper to make and didnt look like a toilet? Also could they put a P-15 chopper on a ACA alertor since the alertor became the Penetrator?

I suppose so. The difference between a P-15 and a P-10 is the motor horse power. I'm not sure about the chopper. I merged your questions into one post. Next time you want to ask a couple of questions like that, why don't you edit your post and add the question in there instead of posting a separate post.

I'm not sure about the chopper.
To answer this, some P-15's came with 9/12 and some came with 8 port, and P-10's were the same way. They're the same size as the Allertors and roughly the same size as the Mobil Directo stators and rotors. So yes, Allertors and Penetrator 10 and 15's are "hot swappable".

Also to answer the Penetrator into Allertor, that was due to wanting more efficiency while keeping weight at a minimum (from what I have been told) which birthed the P-10 and P-15.
I surf the board, I rarely post.

Although this now makes me wonder, what about deciding to throw all caution and logic to the wind by putting a P – 10/P –15 shroud onto a mobile directo? Call it whatever you want to but this is something that I potentially would like to see, imagine having a P 25 that was LPG/propane/gas powered whatever it is
Cheers and happy noisemaking!

It would probably be difficult to install the intake cone, given that the stators were shaped differently.

Is there a Google Maps address with the siren by it? I wanna see this hybrid
Siren geek from South Texas. Although I've loved sirens for years, I've only recently begun digging into the rich history of civil defense. I also proudly own at least thirty weather band radios.

I recall seeing a video of a P-10 with an Allertor shroud, or perhaps the other way around. I'll try to find it.
