The Official Colorado Statewide Siren Map

Tue Feb 15, 2022 1:38 am

I present to you the Official Colorado Statewide Siren Map. This was made this from 4J25's old maps and a few other sources as I dont think there are any fully up to date or upkept Colorado siren map in existence. Any information or locations will help greatly. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid= ... sp=sharing
I'm Jacob Ulrich or MidMissouriSirens on youtube.

An interesting piece of info, the "Hormann ATI abomination" is an ASI siren, a company formed after Hormann America broke off from ASC. I think that model is called the HA-624.
Sirens may not be sexy, but they sure work.

Added to the state siren map list! One suggestion though; do away with the region colors. It makes the map harder to navigate.

I have a Colorado map I've contributed on that's got a fair piece more points than the above one. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid= ... sp=sharing

Theres a few inaccurarcies/missed sirens between both maps concerning northeast Colorado. Heres a few locations/corrections.Addressing both maps on this thread is too much work, do what you will with this information. All sirens active unless otherwise noted.

Ovid - Fedelcode 5 40.9586382, -102.388372

Sedgwick - Denver siren (inactive) 40.9348326, -102.5233271

Amherst - Model 2 at the Fire Department

Holyoke - 10v at the Fire Department. Theres another 10v on the northeast side of town by the grain bins, its precise location eludes me. The 7v8 by the water tower is a STL-10A.

Fleming - the SD-10A is removed. The 10v2t to the north by the baseball field is the only siren in town.

Otis mystery siren is a skirtless Sentry 3v8

Akron - The Whelen vortex was directly replaced by a Sentry 7v8- H. Another 7v8-H stands atop a grain leg at Cedar and Railroad. It replaced a federal model 5 after a storm toppled the leg it sat on last year. I have a picture of it somewhere in the forums.

Haxtun - Darley STH-10 at Colorado and Bryan St.

Crook is a Model 3, not a 2.

Iliff has a Sterling M10 behind the grade school, 114 S 4th St. The GCS on the water tower is inactive.

I will continue adding as I have time.

Do you have any idea who controls the Glendale siren? I have a suspicion its aurora because its the same style/county and the city clerk didn't know they had a siren till I called, but I want to be sure before I head out there tomorrow for aurora's test and hear nothing.

For anyone mapping Colorado, the Sterling M50 in Iliff was directly replaced by a Sentry 10V.

Haxtun Colorado next month will be replacing their sirens, and have announced via facebook they'll be removing the old ones the week of July 8th. If anyone is wanting to record their Darley STH-10 or Sentry 7V8-H, you better hurry up and do it. Haxtun does noon, one, and five o clock blasts M-F as does the rest of Phillips county.

Also the old Sterling that was removed from service in Iliff has dissapeared.

Haxtun's STH-10 and 3V8-H (I long thought it was a 7v8-h until I saw it sitting on the ground and stopped for a closer look) are removed and waiting their fate. Haxtun now has two ASC T-112's that now stand where the old sirens once were, albeit on taller poles. Unfortunately I didnt see a tag on the Darley.
