By memory, almost all (I think all, I could be wrong) directional sirens made by Whelen oscilate rather than rotate as they do not employ the use of slip-rings. Slip-rings (or collector rings and brushes on the Thunderbolt, as an example) allow any rotating device to connect to a power source and maintain a constant 360? motion. Whelens on the other hand, move in a 360? arc, then move back in a 360? arc and repeat the cycle or they will entangle themselves in the cabling.ver tum wrote:I didn't think the 3016's rotated.
