First Alert Detector Error Question

Hi! I was wondering about the First Alert Detector Error (Please see manual) and how to make it happen. The only way I know how is to use a water humidifier to blow steam into the alarm, but I was wondering if there are any other safer ways to get the error. Thanks! :D
