Austin, Texas CD Siren Map (And surrounding areas)

I decided to make a map of the original Civil Defense air raid sirens which were installed by the city of Austin throughout the 1950s and 1960s. They sold some their sirens off after the Soviet Union collapsed in the early 1990s. Which is why I added other close locations because they could be ex Austin units. Some locations are only an estimation as there is no photo evidence of their existence. Only 2 complete Thunderbolt units remain standing in Austin as of 2025. Anybody feel free to check it out. I've been really interested with Austin's sirens recently.

Credit to users Jared H, Herbert Tate, and bigtuna7O for information and images used in thus map.

Ah, this is a very nice map! I was thinking about doing one, but decided to change my mind.

In the future, I might create a San Antonio CD Siren System map, I have most of the locations.

Also, this might be useful:

Thanks Dominic. I'm not sure how long the last two Thunderbolts will be up in Austin. The one on Camp Mabry could be added to their museum possibily?
