Mortlake Fire Co. Brooklyn, CT

Sat May 17, 2025 1:35 am

Good evening all. I remembered years ago hearing a distant siren coming from Brooklyn, CT, at the Mortlake Fire Co. From what I remembered it was 12 port single tone. Upon investigation, it appears to be a rare Fedelcode type of some kind, but a more recent Gmaps search showed it had the housing removed!

Would this be a Type Mach 1, 5, 10, etc. or something else?

Then and now pics:

That just a newer-style Federal Model 2. The housing doesn't quite match the siren core; Fedelcode-era 2's had longer legs that put the chopper between the upper 2 skirts.

Ahh, thank you!

So maybe the 12 port siren I heard (it was from Danielson airport I heard it, and my uncle who was there told me it was Brooklyn’s), could have been from somewhere else?
