Last wednesday SUCKED...for me anyway

Sat Oct 07, 2006 2:01 pm

I located a dual tone T-Bolt, oddly with a hill next to it, that one could film a video almost 50-60 feet horizontal from the mouth of the siren! I was first irritated to find that some one killed my batteries, so as I rush to find good ones in my car, the siren fires up. So I miss the entire Alert cycle. I get some good batteries, and head back to he siren, start filming and it STOPS RECORDING at about 5 seconds, because somehow, it had defaulted to internal memory instead of my 256M card. I was a little pissed to say the least. I'll try it again next month. Man, that thing was LOUD that close. (Yes, I'll be using double ear protection, plugs and muffs)

Consider yourself lucky! I've only gotten to tape a dual tone Tbolt once in Cincy. Unfortunately, I look back on it and say, "Why didn't I just record one long video of the alert cycle, instead of 7 little snippits?!"
If your siren is a-failin'
Chances are that it's a Whelen
And if it's just about to die
Then it must be an ATI
