My first siren

Mon Oct 16, 2006 12:46 pm

I am in the process of obtaining 2 of the cities old tornado sirens. One of them is an ACA Alertronic 6000 R which there were 5 of. The other one is an unknown siren it is located on a city watertower it looks just like the siren under the Allertor in the central part on this page http://www.sirens-for-cities.org/siren_photos.htm is this a Darley siren? I believe this may be one of the cities original civil defence sirens. I hope to obtain both of them by next month.

It does look like a Darley, a Darley Champion, maybe.

Good luck, though!

That is indeed a Darley Champion. I believe all of their sirens had this name, and this one mostlikely has a Model 5 inside of it. Congratulations and have fun!
