Now it has begun......... Update 6-14-10

Yesterday, like every day, I drive by the Whelen 3016 that's near my house.
But now it has FS cabinets and new Antenna.
I talked to the owner of WSS and my city is being upgraded this week.
Then north of me Utica, Shelby Twp and Eastpointe are next.
Clinton Twp (all 3016's, Vortext's and 27-2800's) has already been done.

They're electronic FS controls. The Whelen will sound more like a Federal Modulator from now on.

Every Whelen 3016 is like this in Monroe County. They are not that bad to tell you the truth. 8)

Sterling Heights upgrade was completed a few weeks ago.
Shelby Twp and Utica have also been completed.
I would Imagine that eastpointe is next if not done already
(haven't been over there yet)
Utica's 3016 got new controls
Shelby twp 3016's and 4 Vortex's got new controls and
some got new antenna's
Some of shelby's antenna's are short whips with a few are not.
I asked WSS about why some got new and some didn't.
